Beaumont-Wilshire Neighborhood Association

free early-October tree walk

Local residents are invited by Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry to go on a guided “tree walk” through Beaumont-Wilshire and Alameda neighborhoods on Saturday, October 7th, to learn more about trees, how to identify them, the role they play in the neighborhood, and other aspects of tree care, with tree specialist Jim Gersbach in the lead. Registration takes place on the morning of the event from 8:45-9:00 a.m. at Grand Central Bakery (4440 NE Fremont St.), followed by the walk from 9:00-11:00. Coffee and snacks will be served during the registration period, and participants are encouraged to wear good walking shoes. If you have questions, contact Mason Wordell at Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry at Mason.Wordell@portlandoregon.gov or        503-201-3133.
